After a year of rumors and speculation, Dior has confirmed that the former creative director of Jil Sander, Raf Simons, has been named the famed design house’s new artistic director of women’s wear and accessories.
Just over a year ago, Dior’s legendary creative director John Galliano was fired following a widely-publicized anti-Semitic outburst.

Simons’ first show with Dior will be the women’s couture show in July.
