We have heard there’s nothing like a fresh cup of coffee to start your day, but Café Demitasse put a new meaning to it. On March 4th at 9am, the downtown café will be serving a very rare brew of coffee, Geisha Coffee. The siphon brewed coffee will be priced at $16 a cup. Why so much? Well, the beans come especially from Don Pachi Farm and then Trystero Coffee roasts the beans, leading up to a pricey cup of joe. The coffee beans have been auctioned off in the Best of Panama Competition for $111.5 per pound, setting a record for being the highest bid paid for coffee ever. However, you must reserve now because Café Demitasse only has a limited amount of beans, approximately enough to make 23 cups.
