Recently at Christie’s in London, bidding took place on Henry Moore’s sculpture called “Reclining Figure Festival.” The British sculpture set a record for the most expensive piece ever, with a groundbreaking price tag of $30.24 Million.
Recently at Christie’s in London, bidding took place on Henry Moore’s sculpture called “Reclining Figure Festival.” The British sculpture set a record for the most expensive piece ever, with a groundbreaking price tag of $30.24 Million. However, the sculptor was originally estimated to sell for $5.5M. The interesting sculptor of a woman with her limbs apart while relaxing has taken the spot from The Golden Calf by Damien Hirst which was auctioned off in 2008.
