54 Below Coming in June…That is, Below Studio 54
Eater reports that legendary New York nightlife spot Studio 54, which saw an anniversary revival this past fall, will once again celebrate new life within the famous structure. Yes, 54th Street is set to start rocking this summer with the opening of 54 Below, a new restaurant, supper club and cabaret space to be housed in the underground of the building that once housed Studio 54 nightclub.
On the all-star hospitality industry team for 54 Below are: restaurateur Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group–consulting on the menu, of course; Richard Lewis for architecture, and a number of Broadway heavy hitters producing the programming. Eater divulges that the 160-seat space has already booked several notable performers for its opening few weeks in June.
