Avril Lavigne sells her Bel-Air Mansion for $8.495 Million to Chris Paul

The 26-year old L.A. Clipper wasted no time in purchasing a multimillion dollar home, just after a month of relocating. As we all know, Paul used to be a former New Orleans Hornet, but was recently picked up by L.A. with an earning salary of $16.3 million for his first season. In 2006, Paul was the NBA rookie of the year and since 2008, he’s been in four consecutive NBA all-star games.

What makes this luxurious Bel-Air home so unique is its spacious quarters. The property is 12,184-square-foot, along with a two story foyer, eight bedrooms, 10 ½ baths, wine cellar and tasting room, an open kitchen, doors and windows framed with wood, Venetian plaster and let’s not forget an athlete’s dream, a gym, along with a garage that can hold up to 10 cars. But that’s not it, the grounds outside are even more marvelous. There’s a pool, surrounded by a beautiful lawn, a built in kitchen/barbecue, and an outdoor living room for those romantic nights.

The property has been in the market since May for $9.5 million and has been known to be quite a sight to look at. The Mediterranean-style home is in a gated community and had been decreased to $8,999,999.

In 2007, Lavigne and her ex-husband, Deryck Whibley, Sum 41 singer-guitarist purchased the home for $9.5 million. Currently, the singer/song-writer has been in the studio working on her fifth album. Hopefully, it will be as successful as her four-time platinum debut album release in 2002 “Let Go.”

Overall, Paul based his decision on purchasing the Bel-Air home on his need to get to practice at the Playa Vista facility and to the Staples Center for game night.
