The Soho House Group’s New Chairman: Ron Burkle

Soho House—the place where the world’s elite congregate to unwind and join forces with other like-minded individuals. Nick Jones opened the first Soho House Group outpost in London in 1995, with a vision to bring together individuals in the film, media and other creative industries. Today, The Group has expanded across Europe and to several cities in North America, making it not only a members club, but also a lifestyle.

In 2008, and with the investment of Richard Caring, The Group opened additional clubs in West Hollywood, Berlin and Miami. The Soho House Group continues to stay ahead of the curve, expanding and invigorating their successful brand. Today, after years of receiving various offers, The Group is welcoming Ron Burkle as their new chairman.

Burkle, whom you may have seen in Forbes 400 or Billionaires lists, has been a longtime Soho House member, and a true representation of the Soho House ethos. With Burkle’s purchase of a controlling share, more clubs spanning Mumbai, Toronto, Chicago, Istanbul and Barcelona are expected to open in coming years.
