Matt Lauer to Build Horse Farm in the Hamptons

News | January 5, 2012

Television journalist and host of NBC’s The Today Show, Matt Lauer already has a $15 million home in the Hamptons but now he’s planning on building a horse farm just down the road.

Lauer and his wife, Dutch model Annette Roque, are known to be avid equestrians so building a state-of-the-art horse farm doesn’t seem too far fetched. The extremely successful television host and his wife already own a $15 million mansion in Water Mill and now they have purchased an addition 47.5 acres of land down the road so that they can build their horse farm.

Featuring ocean view, the property reportedly cost less than the $10.5 million listing price, but it’s likely that Lauer will be putting significant money into building the horse farm on the property.  The plans for the farm have been sent to the town for approval and include an indoor arena with jumping rings.

Lauer has been the Today co-anchor since 1997. He is a graduate of Ohio University and he and his wife have three children, sons Jack and Thijs and daughter Romy.
