Actress Rose McGowan has just purchased a nearly 3,000-square-foot four-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills.

Formerly starring in popular television show “Charmed” for five consecutive years, McGowan put down $1.39 million for a Hollywood Hills estate that features a two-story glass entry and an outdoor living area that has a fireplace. The home also features four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms.

McGowan, 38, will be starring in upcoming romantic thriller “Napa,” Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Bell Jar” all set for 2012 release.

She recently sold her Los Feliz home for $1.775 million.

McGowan is an American born to French and Irish parents. She is the second eldest of six siblings and attended Roosevelt High School and Nova Alternative High School. She is also a licensed beauty operator.

She began her acting career in 1995 when she was featured in “The Doom Generation.” For this performance, she was nominated at the 1995 Independent Spirit Awards for Best Debut Performance.
