A Hermès Man on Madison

News | February 11, 2010

Lucky for us, Parisian luxury retailer Hermes has decided to open its first store in the world solely for men, right here on New York’s Madison Avenue. The 2,450-square-foot space will be devoted to men’s ready-to-wear, accessories, and the art of living, and will include exclusive products such as limited-availability Hermes baseballs ($1,100) and gloves ($8,500). Housed in a classic brownstone, president and CEO of Hermes Paris, Robert Chavez, describes the space as “warm and intimate…Gentleman like shopping in this kind of environment. It’s like shopping in your own closet.” The store’s ground floor will offer a comprehensive collection of shirts, ties, perfumes, small leather accessories, and watches, while the mezzanine will feature knitwear, sportswear, belts, hats, and luggage. Men’s suits, shoes, and briefcases will be featured on the third floor with the fourth floor devoted to made-to-measure, including bespoke suits and knitwear as well as special order items.

Hermes Man is located at 690 Madison Ave., directly across the street from the U.S. flagship store.
