Beatriz Milhazes, commissioned by Cartier, has created a breathtaking and intricate mobile composed of pearl, precious and semi-precious stones. The piece, entitled Aquarium, was crafted by the Ateliers Cartier. The masterpiece is located in the design district, in a space that was designed to recreate the idea of a jewel case. Inspired by her roots, the Brazilian artist created a work of art that represented carnival chandeliers and vibrant paintings. The relationship between Milhazes and Cartier has been longstanding, as the artist was initially invited by the brand to produce a show at the Maison Cartier in Paris in 2009.
