News | February 7, 2010

Best-selling author of Jurassic Park Michael Crichton’s vast collection of art by Picasso, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Roy Lichtenstein and others will be auctioned by Christies in New York in May.

Promising to be quite an auction, the total value of the collection is estimated at $32 million. One such piece is one of Johns’ famous flag paintings, called “Flag.” It was bought directly from the artist’s collection and has never been on the public market.
