Shocking Peninsula Hotel Murder

News | February 6, 2010

On this past Wednesday afternoon, a woman 49-year-old “socialite” named Gigi Jordan who is a resident of the Trump International Hotel and Towers, checked into Room 1154 of the Peninsula Hotel with her eight-year-old son, Michael Jude. She reportedly paid for the room in cash, ordered room service, and didn’t appear again until today, when hotel employees found her son dead, “surrounded by thousands of prescription pills” while she was “babbling incoherently.” According to reports, Jordan had been very depressed after her marriage fell apart, and just the night before, she had sent an email to relatives in Belgium “signalling that she was threatening to kill herself and the boy.” Her terrified relatives then sent police to her Upper West Side apartment, but apparently, they arrived too late.
