Tavern On The Green Auctions Remaining Items

News | February 1, 2010

The last few remaining items that were left from New York City’s famed Tavern on the Green restaurant are being auctioned off by Guernsey’s auction house. The tag sale is being on Friday and Saturday at the former Central Park landmark, known for its lavish decor. Bargain-priced items include dinner glasses, vases, floral decorations, gift shop memorabilia, and various goodies.

Tavern on the Green served its last meal and closed its doors on New Year’s Eve, after going through some financial issues. Many of their more extravagant items like their chandeliers and Tiffany & Co. stained glass were auctioned earlier to help pay for their $8 million debt.
