Petra Ecclestone’s Incredibly Expensive Wedding
Petra Ecclestone spent $85 million on Candy Spelling’s mansion, and still had plenty leftover for an unbelievably lavish wedding, her own.
Petra tied the knot with businessman James Stunt in Italy this weekend, in the same village where Tom and Katie got hitched. But Ecclestone’s wedding was a lot more expensive — reportedly more than $5 million more expensive — and a lot flashier.
For starters, Andrea Bocelli performed, “Time to Say Goodbye” live, the first dance was courtesy of Eric Clapton, and the crowd then danced to The Black Eyed Peas, also live. By the way, Peas don’t come cheap; the group charges $2.4 million per live appearance.
Petra – the daughter of Formula One billionaire Bernie Ecclestone – wore a $130,000 Vera Wang custom gown.
Guests drank wine at $6,500 a bottle – Chateau Petrus.
And, of course, Paris, Nicky and Kathy Hilton were there.
