Haute 100 Update: David de Rothschild Chosen to Judge the 2011 International Green Awards

News | August 10, 2011

David de Rothschild, British banking heir and famous environmentalist, has been honored through his dedication to the green revolution with a spot on the judging panel for the prestigious 6th annual International Green Awards.

The awards program aims to grant recognition to innovative and creative approaches to sustainability, making de Rothschild the perfect fit for their panel. The adventurer, environmentalist, and head of Adventure Ecology – an expedition group that raises awareness about climate change – took along a crew of five on a sailing trip from the San Francisco Bay to Australia on a catamaran made with reclaimed post-consumer plastic bottles last year.

33-year old de Rothschild will be joined on the judges’ panel by recognized names in environmentalism, including former Brazilian presidential candidate Marina Silva, President and Editor -n-Chief of AOL Huffington Post Media Group Arianna Huffington, and environmentalist and explorer Sir Crispin Tickell, who was also president of the Royal Geographical Society.
