Kiefer Sutherland Sells Los Angeles Loft for $3 million

News | December 26, 2009

Canadian-born actor Kiefer Sutherland has just sold his 14,400-square-foot loft and recording studio in Los Angles for $3 million.

Kiefer Sutherland, son of famed actor Donald Sutherland, is a Canadian-native actor who is most well known for his starring role in the popular 24 series. He has just unloaded his enormous Los Angeles loft and recording studio which is located in the Silver Lake area.

In July 2008, Sutherland listed the gated home for $4,895,000. The loft was built in 1928 and is located above a recording studio which Sutherland owned with singe Jude Cole. The loft features three-bedrooms, living quarters with four bathrooms, 25-foot ceilings, polished concrete floors warmed by radiant heat, an open floor plan, and a cook’s kitchen.

Sutherland purchased a five-story house on Greenwich Street in Manhattan’s West Village for $8.25 million in September 2008 and he also owns property on La Maida Street and on Placidia Avenue in Los Angeles.

It is being reported that the buyer of Sutherland’s Los Angeles loft and studio is not a celebrity. Sutherland paid just $700,000 in 2002 for the building before converting it into the luxury home it is today.
