A Look Inside Las Vegas’ Bar Masa

News | December 19, 2009

As part of Las Vegas’ CityCenter development, Aria Resort & Casino includes restaurant Bar Masa, the first Vegas outpost from New York’s Michelin three-star chef Masa Takayama. Here’s a look inside the newly opened restaurant with a glimpse of what future visitors can expect.

Bar Masa just opened in the new CityCenter development in Las Vegas. As the first outpost from New York’s Michelin three-star chef Masa Takayama, Bar Masa has a lot to live up to. But so far, it seems to be on course for being one of the ‘must-see’ posts in CityCenter.

Taking a slightly different approach to its menu options than its New York City counterpart, Las Vegas’ Bar Masa offers an a la carte menu, and enough space to comfortably seat 256 guests under its dramatic vaulted ceiling.

The space was designed by Richard Bloch Architect, who also takes credit for the New York locations. SO what really makes CityCenter’s Bar Masa stand out from the rest? For many the shining star of the locale is that within Bar Masa there is Shaboo, a beautiful 52-seat exclusive room which offers chef Takayama’s signature omaskase-style tasting menu. Best part is that you can come as many days out of the week that you want because the tasting menu changes every day, ensuring a diverse selection for diners.
