Haute Event: Pete Wentz Joins Volkswagen to Unveil Brand New Beetle

Pier 36 in Manhattan was buzzing like a nightclub… at 9 this morning, as musician Pete Wentz joined VW’s CEO Jonathan Browning to unveil the third generation, 21st Century Beetle. Wentz, at the DJ booth, provided a private and personalized spin session for the exclusive group of revelers who started the debauchery early in the week (and early in the morning), sipping morning cocktails and snacking on breakfast hors d’oeuvres.

The brand spanking new 2012 VW Beetle appears sportier than generations past, and debuted on three continents this morning starting in Shanghai, China, followed by Berlin, and then, of course, here in Lower Manhattan.
