Haute Event: Maestro Roberto Altmann Vernissage at Nina Torres Fine Art in Wynwood Arts District

I had the honor of being invited to a gem tucked away in the Wynwood Arts District at Nina Torres Fine Art in Miami. It was the vernissage preview of Maestro Roberto Altmann’s latest works and highlighting a selection of pieces being sent to the museum of Seoul, Korea. Roberto Altmann’s work speaks for itself, where in each piece you can notice he uses his 30 years of experience and styles to bring out the human form from the background. It is a unique style that forces you to challenge what you see before you and appreciate the work that went into creating it.

“In each piece I create, I re-live the history of art,” Altmann says.  Altmann draws his inspiration from Classical or Renaissance modules and then collocates his stories into contemporaneity. But do not be mislead by Altmann’s charm, wit and Italian accent, let his work speak to you instead. The Maestro was born and currently lives in Italy and tonight was accompanied by his wife Claudia Fazzini, noted artists Carol Adrianza and the knowledgeable Nina Torres.  I highly recommend you search out Nina Torres Fine Art and enjoy the art at your own leisure. I found myself not wanting to leave and hypnotized by the gold in the artwork. It made me envision the types of estates that will grace these masterpieces.

The Roberto Altmann exposition will be in Miami from February 3 through 23, 2011 and it is best enjoyed with a glass of wine and good company. If you are able to witness it for yourself please let me know what you think. I look forward to your comments and opinions.
