Miami Gears Up for Soul Cycle South Beach at The Mondrian

Anyone who knows me well knows about my obsession with spinning. But since living in Miami I’ve had trouble finding anywhere that would compare to classes I took at Soul Cycle in New York City. But now, my prayers have been answered. The haute fitness gurus of Soul Cycle have just announced that at the end of this month, they will be opening Soul Cycle South Beach.

What started off as a small indoor cycling studio on Manhattan’s Upper West Side soon expanded to several other locations throughout the city. Their classes are frequented by some of New York’s elite fitness enthusiasts as well as celebrities like Kelly Ripa, Brooke Shields and Hilary Clinton. Each class also features about five minutes of arm weights to the beat of the music, providing a great balance between arms, legs and core strength that many typical spin classes neglect. Soul Cycle’s combination of great music, awesome instructors and endorphin-inducing spin sessions exuded have made it one of the most sought after workouts in all of New York.

And now, just when you thought that New Yorkers had a one-up on your workout routine, the Soul crew is heading south for the winter! The new SoBe studio will be located inside the Mondrian Hotel and will feature 30 stationary bikes, a state-of-the-art sound system and the same signature Soul classes.

So get prepared to stay haute and look haute all winter long. Soul Cycle South Beach opens Dec. 23. I, for one, cannot wait.
