Step Into the Incredibly Lavish Dior Suite for the 79th Cannes Film Festival
Every May, Cannes belongs to cinema—and Dior belongs to Cannes. For the 79th edition of the most prestigious film festival in the world, running May 12 through May 23, 2026, the House has once again transformed its suite on the sixth floor of the Majestic Hotel into something that feels less like a preparation room and more like an experience worth arriving early for. This year’s Dior Suite is dressed in white and sky-blue, the palette unfolding across floors and walls in a striped pattern with a hand-drawn effect. The Dior Masquerade couture motif runs throughout—a gallery of characters dressed for a masked ball, rooted in Christian Bérard’s original illustrations for Monsieur Dior, who loved nothing more than a festive occasion.

The reference to film costume design is subtle and entirely intentional. At the center of the first reception room, a spacious old-fashioned tent dressed in the same pattern creates a room within a room—a boudoir with a vanity table and a bench built for conversation. Further in, palm tree lamps cast a soft glow over white sofas, and armchairs turned toward the terrace, the sea stretched out beyond.

The 350-square-meter suite functions as a full beauty destination across the entire fortnight of the festival. Skincare expert and U.S. House Ambassador Sarah Akram and Dior Global Wellness Expert Hadda Akrim take turns in the treatment room, offering massages and flash facial treatments to prepare skin for the red carpet—the room itself anchored by a decorative mirror featuring the iconic Dior cannage motif rendered in neon. The makeup room is led by the Dior Backstage PROS—Norman Pohl, Jamie Coombes, Junior Cedeno, Ricky Wilson, and Serby Gil—alongside a roster of international makeup artists, including Aurore Gautier, Kristina Vidic, Ruby Mazuel, and others, all working with collections designed by Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup. A nail bar rounds out the beauty offering, with manicures and nail services using the Dior Vernis line. For the men, barber and Dior Sauvage Grooming Ambassador Brice Tchaga handles beard and hair grooming with his signature routine.

The suite’s beauty journey closes with hair—and this year, Dior has deepened its collaboration with Dyson Beauty, a partnership built on a shared commitment to innovation. Under the direction of Pierre Saint-Sever, Dyson Ambassador and Cabin Lead, a team of hair stylists create bespoke looks ahead of the opening ceremony using the Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer and a selection of travel-format hair products. Dyson also makes its Cannes debut with the HushJet Mini Cool—a newly revealed handheld fan and, as the House puts it, the perfect festival accessory.
Beyond the Majestic, Dior is also operating a hair and makeup room on the rooftop of the JW Marriott hotel, within La Terrasse by Albane, offering film talents and celebrities a quick touch-up before interviews or photo shoots.
