LOEWE Fall/Winter 2026 Pushes Craft Into New Territory

Fashion, News | March 10, 2026

At LOEWE’s Fall/Winter 2026 show, familiar garments appeared slightly altered, as if the house had paused the moment fabric meets the body. Slip dresses and lace trimmed tops did not rely on traditional construction. Instead, the atelier moulded them and cast them in latex, preserving every seam, bow, and trim in a glossy surface that caught the light like liquid. Coats followed the same idea. Sleeves, pockets, and closures were replicated in latex, creating pieces that hovered somewhere between clothing and sculpture.

The collection also pushed silhouettes outward. Parkas and scarves appeared as inflatable volumes. An industrial technique laser cuts and seals the seams, allowing air to become part of the garment’s structure. Texture introduced another layer of experimentation. Bouclé coats used looped lacquered leather, while tartan knits relied on ultra thin leather yarn. Pastel shearling coats and corduroy trousers featured soft gradient trims reminiscent of poodle grooming. The effect softened otherwise structured pieces.

Artist Cosima von Bonin provided an important reference point for the season. Known for blending humor with subtle critique, her work surfaced throughout the show. Gingham and floral fabrics appeared in linings or were repainted across glossy latex garments. Her sculptural animals reemerged as charms, minaudières, and jewelry, adding a sense of wit that echoed LOEWE’s playful approach to craft.

Accessories extended the conversation. The Amazona 180 arrives ahead of LOEWE’s 180th anniversary in 2026. The bag appears both as a porcelain interpretation and as an oversized duffel finished in dark leather with calfskin trim. The Flamenco clutch returns in blue and white leather intarsia inspired by mosaic patterns. A new silhouette, the Whisker bag, introduces a contrast between a structured handle and a relaxed glazed calfskin body.

Across the collection, craft remains the central idea. LOEWE treats fashion as a space for experimentation, where humor, technique, and material innovation move together.
