NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles wasn’t confined to the court — it radiated outward, taking over Sunset Boulevard, museum domes, and candlelit supper clubs with equal force. From immersive sneaker drops and culture-driven lounge activations to power-broker celebrations under the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks, the weekend unfolded as a high-gloss convergence of sport, style, music, and influence. In true L.A. fashion, it wasn’t just about who made the roster — it was about who showed up, who hosted, and who turned the moment into something bigger than the game.

Gabrielle Union, Chance the Rapper, Rome Flynn, Bob Iger, Cedric the Entertainer and more stepped out for the annual Gentleman’s Supper Club, hosted by Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony.

The evening unfolded in two acts: an intimate, invite-only dinner curated for the trio’s inner circle of athletes, creatives, and power players, followed by a buzzy, high-energy celebration in honor of NBA All-Star Weekend. Equal parts camaraderie and cultural moment, it was a gathering that felt less like a party — and more like a summit of modern icons.

NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles is never subtle — and neither is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

On Friday, Converse and its Basketball Creative Director, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, unveiled The Shai Lounge, an exclusive, immersive preview celebrating the most elevated iteration of his signature silhouette yet: the SHAI 001 LUX: Truffle.

Ahead of the public opening, the reigning NBA Champion and MVP welcomed a curated group of media and creators into his world — offering insight into the craftsmanship and mindset behind the Truffle, his fourth consecutive NBA All-Star shoe. Think premium materials, refined detailing, and a design philosophy rooted in intention over excess.

On Friday, February 13, Los Angeles set the stage for one of All-Star Weekend’s most powerful crossovers as LA Clippers Chairman Steve Ballmer and Comcast NBCUniversal Chairman Brian Roberts co-hosted the NBA All-Star Legendary Tip-Off Celebration beneath the soaring Dome at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.

The evening began just down the block at Urban Light, where a full red carpet and press line transformed the iconic installation into All-Star’s most cinematic prelude. From there, guests flowed into the Academy Museum for a night that felt equal parts Hollywood premiere and league summit.

President Barack Obama headlined a guest list that read like a cultural power index: Anderson .Paak (who later took over the decks as DJ Pee .Wee), Ariana Madix, Charlie Puth, Courtney B. Vance, Donna Langley, Hit-Boy, Keegan-Michael Key, Octavia Spencer, Queen Latifah, Sloane Stephens, Storm Reid, Victoria Monét, Vin Diesel and more — seamlessly blending film, fashion, music, and sports into one glittering room.

From the league office to hardwood legends, the sports world showed up in force: NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Hall of Famer Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Burrow, Karl-Anthony Towns, Reggie Miller, Tracy McGrady, Vince Carter, and a host of owners, executives, and All-Stars past and present.

Entertainment came courtesy of DJ Pee .Wee — the effortlessly cool alter ego of Anderson .Paak — whose set carried the night from polished cocktail affair to full-fledged celebration. Under the Dome, amid cinematic architecture and championship energy, the message was clear: in Los Angeles, sport isn’t just competition — it’s culture.
