When I first saw the Hamptons Strolls cashmere sock shoes, I knew I had to have them. It was a controversial move in my group chat, with some of my friends skeptical as to the possibilities of styling them, if they could handle the New York City streets, and would I actually wear them. The answer to all of these? Yes. Just yes.
Founder of Brave Pudding Sarah Fiszel created the Hamptons Strolls with fashion and function at top of mind, and the result was the epitome of luxurious comfort. From a Ralph Lauren publicity apprenticeship to a successful real estate career to a full-time mom of four, Fiszel has constantly been innovating and inspiring. Her company, Brave Pudding, follows suit. The name pays homage to a brave Revolutionary War-era housewife who boldly refused to serve her pudding to the Redcoat soldiers and threw her pudding down the hill instead of handing it over. This defiant and brave spirit inspires Brave Pudding’s design ethos.
Thus, the Hamptons Strolls, is more than meets the eye. It’s bold, daring, and entirely unexpected. We chatted to Fiszel to learn all about her brand, the product (as well as its new and complementing line of Trims), as well as what we can hope to see next from her. Oh, and don’t forget to scoop up your own pair of Hamptons Strolls and Trims.
Haute Living: What made you start Brave Pudding? Where did the idea for the Hampton Strolls cashmere sock shoe come from?
Sarah Fiszel: Brave Pudding started very organically and very personally. I have always loved comfort and being cozy, but I have never wanted to sacrifice style. For years, I was literally gluing soles onto slippers at home so I could wear them outside. I loved the feeling of being cozy but still put together.
The real lightbulb moment came from my sock drawer. I had this incredible collection of beautiful cashmere socks that I barely wore because they would pill or wear through so quickly. I kept thinking, “I want to bring the comfort of inside outside.” I started prototyping in my bathroom, cutting, gluing, and testing, and eventually landed on what became the Hampton Strolls. The idea was simple but intentional. Take the comfort of a sock and give it the structure and durability of a shoe. These are shoes. Wear them outside.

HL: Who are Hampton Strolls for?
SF: They are for everyone. Everyone at heart values comfort, and I believe that they care how they feel in their clothing. [They are for] someone who does not need loud logos or trends to feel confident but likes the idea of pushing boundaries and rethinking norms.
Our customer loves ease, but they also love design. They want something effortless that still feels thoughtful. Hampton Strolls are made for real life, running around, traveling, walking, and living, but done in a way that feels understated, elevated, and quietly cool.
HL: Talk to us about Trims. How do Trims elevate a classic pair?
SF: Trims came from the idea that shoes, like jewelry, should feel personal. I wanted to create something that allows you to transform one pair into many different moods.
They are anklet-style accessories designed specifically to loop through the heel tab of our shoes, so they sit over the shoe rather than the ankle. I like to think of them as jewelry for your footwear. They let you customize, elevate, or completely shift the look of a classic pair without needing a whole new shoe. It is playful, but still very intentional and refined.
HL: What is your favorite way to wear a pair of Hampton Strolls?
SF: I love wearing them very simply and letting them speak for themselves. Jeans and a great sweater, leggings and a coat, or something very minimal where the silhouette really stands out.
They are also my go-to for travel. They are easy, comfortable, and polished enough that I never feel sloppy. I love that they blur the line between indoor comfort and outdoor dressing. That is really the heart of the brand.

HL: Where do you hope to take Brave Pudding in the next 5 to 10 years?
I see Brave Pudding becoming a true lifestyle brand built around elevated ease. The sock shoe was just the beginning. It is a platform, not a one off.
Over time, I want to continue expanding into shoes, accessories, and clothing that all share the same philosophy. Pieces that feel comforting, intentional, and beautifully made. I want Brave Pudding to be known for creating things people genuinely live in, not just wear, and for redefining what comfort can look like when it is done with style and confidence.
