As The Boca Raton prepares to enter its 100th year, the legendary private club and luxury resort stands on the cusp of one of the most ambitious and culturally rich celebrations in its history. Originally opened in 1926 as the Cloister Inn—an architectural masterpiece envisioned by Addison Mizner—the iconic destination has evolved into one of America’s most storied hospitality landmarks.

The centennial arrives at a transformative moment for the property, following a sweeping $375 million reinvention that has elevated every facet of the guest and member experience. This evolution includes the highly anticipated unveiling of the reimagined Beach Club, a bold new chapter situated along the resort’s private stretch of pristine South Florida shoreline. As President and CEO Daniel A. Hostettler notes, a centennial represents far more than a major anniversary—it embodies the enduring impact of a place that has shaped family memories, landmark celebrations, and the very definition of coastal luxury living for generations.

Throughout 2026, The Boca Raton will bring its history to life through a curated series of cultural experiences, artistic tributes, and limited-edition offerings designed to connect past and present. The Cloister Inn Museum, created in partnership with the Boca Raton Historical Society, will debut in December 2025 as a two-story, immersive destination honoring Mizner’s original vision.

Preserved furnishings, archival elements, and a new self-guided audio tour will provide guests a rare opportunity to explore the property’s earliest chapters. Complementing the museum is the launch of The Boca Raton: A Century of Being Iconic, a collectible Assouline coffee-table book penned by acclaimed journalist James Reginato, featuring historic images, exclusive interviews, and newly commissioned photography.

The centennial will also be celebrated through exclusive capsule collections at the resort’s boutiques—including Curated, Boca Chica, Mister Pink, and The Sports Shop. These limited-edition pieces draw inspiration from signature architectural details such as the Cloister’s Cathedral ballroom ceiling and the iconic entrance fountain. Highlights include an Italian silk scarf and bespoke beachwear commemorating the resort’s century-long legacy of style.

Wellness experiences take on a golden-age glow at Spa Palmera, the resort’s 50,000-square-foot sanctuary. The Golden Era Spa Collection introduces luxuriously crafted treatments like the 24K gold-infused Gilded Waters Ritual Bath and the Diamond Age Defy Facial inspired by 1920s glamour. These offerings deepen the connection between The Boca Raton’s heritage and its commitment to forward-thinking well-being.

Sports and recreation will also pay homage to the past, with the Racquet Club hosting semi-annual wood racquet tennis clinics reminiscent of 1926 court culture. Golf enthusiasts will have the opportunity to participate in The Silver Scot Invitational, a vintage-inspired event honoring legendary Director of Golf Tommy Armour, complete with period attire and classic clubs. Together, these experiences blend nostalgia with world-class athletic programming.
Culinary programming—already a signature draw of The Boca Raton—will present a year of creative menus, wine collaborations, and nostalgic flavors across its more than 18 restaurants, bars, and lounges. A highlight of the festivities is the debut of the Shafer “Century” Cabernet Sauvignon, a limited edition Napa Valley wine available exclusively on property.

Restaurants, including the resort’s four signature concepts in collaboration with Major Food Group, will showcase reinterpretations of vintage dishes such as duck à l’orange and red velvet waffles, refined through contemporary techniques. Prohibition-era cocktails will be featured at Palm Court, adding an element of theatrical nostalgia to the modern-day dining experience.

And in a spectacular culinary display, the resort’s pastry team will craft a 7-foot-long, 4-foot-high edible sculpture of Cloister using 1,800 pounds of chocolate, sugar, and fondant. Guests seeking a sweet souvenir can visit Maison Rose for coconut macaroons inspired by Addison Mizner’s favorite treat, presented in commemorative centennial packaging.

The year will begin with a January 2026 lineup of cultural events including an art pop-up and lecture by Palm Beach artist Serge Strosberg, a candlelit symphonic performance by the Palm Beach Symphony, and outdoor 1920s-style opera presentations by the Palm Beach Opera. The celebrations will culminate in a once-in-a-century weekend dedicated to honoring the resort’s past, celebrating its present, and envisioning its next 100 years.
