The world’s first all-electric powerboat racing championship came to life on Miami’s waterfront last Saturday, November 8, bringing fast-paced action, cutting-edge marine technology, and a strong focus on sustainability to one of the world’s most iconic coastlines.
With celebrity team owners like Tom Brady, Will Smith, Rafael Nadal, and Marc Anthony, the E1 Series drew major excitement as fans watched electric raceboats compete at high speeds without the noise or environmental impact of traditional motorsports. In the end, Team Brady claimed its second championship title, reinforcing its leadership in this new era of racing.

To celebrate the win, the team toasted with Champagne Telmont, the French Champagne house known for its bold environmental commitments and backed by Leonardo DiCaprio. The custom E1-branded bottles of Telmont Réserve de la Terre — crafted from 100% organic grapes — highlighted the shared vision between the sport and the Champagne house.
Speaking to the continued relationship between the two brands, E1 founder and CEO Rodi Basso shared:
“Our successful partnership with Maison Telmont will see them help celebrate our 2025 Champions of the Water in Miami. We both share a real passion and commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence at the core of what we do, which makes Maison Telmont a perfect partner for E1.”
That alignment is clear. Telmont has set an ambitious goal to convert 100% of its cultivated land to organic agriculture by 2031, already reaching 70% through certifications and active conversion. The house has also eliminated all gift boxes to reduce waste — adopting a “the bottle and nothing but the bottle” approach — and bottles all cuvées exclusively in green glass made from 85% recycled materials, avoiding the high-impact transparent bottles used elsewhere in the industry. These commitments underscore why Telmont naturally complements E1, a championship built around cleaner technology and protecting marine environments.

Ludovic du Plessis, President of Telmont, added:
“At Telmont, we believe that innovation and respect for nature must go hand in hand. E1 is completely reinventing the standard for motorized water sports. It’s a unique blend of motorsport, emotion, and sustainability, and we are proud to continue as their partner.”
The momentum continues next year, with the 2025 E1 Championship set to visit Monaco, Lake Como, Doha, and Miami once again. As the series expands, it continues to show that high-performance sport and environmental responsibility can move forward — together.
