Stefano Ricci is taking fashion far beyond the runway with the launch of the first four Stefano Ricci Explorer missions on Amazon Prime Video’s platform—an ambitious step in the house’s ongoing commitment to exploration and sustainability. “We are proud to announce the launch,” says Niccolò Ricci, CEO of Stefano Ricci S.p.A., noting that the mini-series is available to stream online for free.

Titled Fashional Geographic, the series places couture in conversation with the planet’s most awe-inspiring environments—shot by revered nature photographers and anchored in a clear sustainability ethos. “The goal is to discover the new wonders of the world, placing fashion within unique environments,” says Filippo Ricci, the brand’s Creative Director. “The first episode serves as a warning about climate change—we witnessed it firsthand in Iceland with the melting of Europe’s largest glacier.”

Across four cinematic chapters, the journey spans Iceland, the Galápagos Islands, Mongolia, and Luxor—the latter a fitting return to origins for the brand. Produced by Stefano Ricci S.p.A., directed by Valentino Conte, and developed with New Solid and Promotion Code, the series blends field reportage with polished storytelling. On-camera insights come from Terry Garcia (CEO, Exploration Ventures) alongside an international roster of image-makers—Chris Rainier, Mattias Klum, and Nima Benati—whose lenses translate raw nature into indelible frames.

In the spirit of the great expeditions, the narrative opens in the Galápagos, echoing Darwin’s theory of evolution amid pristine ecosystems. From there, the team heads to Mongolia, spending days with Eagle Hunters along the Altai and into the Gobi, before a finale in Ancient Egypt—a tribute to Luxor, where Stefano Ricci marked its 50th anniversary in 2022 with a runway spectacle at the Temple of Hatshepsut, followed by timeless imagery captured in the Tomb of Queen Nefertari. “Following in the footsteps of the great explorers,” says Filippo Ricci, “we wanted each mission to feel authentic—rooted in place, culture, and stewardship.” He extends special thanks to longtime friend Zahi Hawass, the world-renowned archaeologist.

Crucially, each mission is paired with tangible conservation support for respected international NGOs: the Charles Darwin Foundation for the study and protection of Galápagos giant tortoises; the Kazakh Falconry Association to help reintroduce the golden eagle in the Altai; and Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities for sustainable tourism and cultural-heritage programming. “In every destination, we wanted to leave something meaningful behind,” concludes Niccolò Ricci—“not just images, but impact.”
