In a world where girls’ voices are too often unheard, Global Girls Glow is helping change the narrative. The California-based nonprofit is a global force for empowerment, equipping adolescent girls with the confidence, leadership skills, and courage to shape their own futures. 

A registered 501(c)(3) organization, Global Girls Glow mentors girls worldwide to become powerful advocates and compassionate leaders. Through mentor-facilitated GLOW Clubs in more than 30 countries – from the U.S. and Peru to Uganda, Nepal, Ghana, and the Philippines –  the organization provides girls with the mentorship, community, and tools to thrive. Since its founding, Global Girls Glow has ignited the power of over 100,000 girls to do three transformative things: increase their confidence, strengthen their voice, and build their power.

Inside the Global Girls Glow Movement

Each GLOW Club that’s been developed, under the Global Girls Glow organization, serves as a safe, inclusive space where girls gather weekly to learn, lead, and lift one another up. Guided by trained local mentors, participants explore topics like self-esteem, goal-setting, education, and advocacy through a social-emotional learning (SEL) framework.

Beyond discussion, girls are encouraged to take action designing advocacy and community projects that address the issues most relevant to them. Whether confronting challenges like early marriage, gender-based violence, or access to education, or tackling local issues such as bullying or representation in leadership, every GLOW Club empowers girls to create change in their communities.

Amplifying Voices Around the World

This year marks an exciting milestone for Global Girls Glow with the release of its debut anthology, Voices for Impact: How to Unapologetically Share Your Message With Courage, Clarity and Compassion, which quickly became an Amazon best-seller.

Published this spring, the book features essays from youth authors and global thought leaders including Anu Jain, Dr. Michele Goodwin, Jeanine Mason, Meera Gandhi, Laura Probst, and founder Kylie Schuyler – each sharing stories of resilience, purpose, and advocacy. Together, they illustrate the organization’s core belief: that when girls find their voice, they find their power.

“Girls have the power to change the world,” says Crystal Sprague, Executive Director of Global Girls Glow. “This book is a celebration of girls’ untapped potential and their ability to create change with courage, clarity, and compassion.”

All proceeds from Voices for Impact directly support the nonprofit’s mentorship programs, ensuring that more girls have access to the same opportunities that inspired these stories.

Girls First: A Movement of Ongoing Support

Timed with International Day of the Girl (October 11) this month, Global Girls Glow recently launched its Girls First Monthly Giving program, a simple yet powerful way for supporters to stand with girls not just once, but every single month.

For just $17 a month, donors can provide a full year of mentorship for one girl, helping her develop leadership and advocacy skills through her local GLOW Club. Monthly supporters join a founding circle fueling sustainable growth for the organization’s expanding global network.

Where Advocacy Meets Action

Global Girls Glow also brings its mission to life through dynamic public events, panels, and youth-led conversations that invite communities to engage directly with issues facing girls and women today.

Highlights include a Voices for Impact conversation at the L’Oréal ProLAB in El Segundo, California and an East Coast speaking tour with stops in New York and Washington, D.C .— including a collaboration with the Georgetown Law Journal of Gender and the Law, where youth advocates led a powerful dialogue on legal advocacy, systemic barriers, and the importance of agency in driving equitable change.
