Loro Piana pays tribute to its long-standing bond with New York City through an exceptional installation at Bergdorf Goodman, running from October 17 to November 3, 2025. The Maison transforms the luxury retailer’s iconic windows and facade with a creative display that celebrates craftsmanship, artistry, and timeless elegance. The event marks the unveiling of exclusive products, a personalization service for the Grande Unita scarf and Unito blanket, and a luminous facade animation that connects Italian heritage to New York’s vibrant spirit.

The celebration begins on October 17, when Bergdorf Goodman’s windows and facade are unveiled, revealing a breathtaking visual narrative that interprets Loro Piana’s dedication to perfection. From October 18 to 26, the facade of Bergdorf Goodman’s women’s store will illuminate each evening between 7:30 PM and 11 PM, transforming Fifth Avenue into a glowing celebration of light, texture, and craftsmanship.

The animation begins with a Mongolian landscape, symbolizing the origins of the Maison’s precious cashmere, and transitions into fields of thistle flowers — the brand’s emblem since 1951. A golden thread gracefully weaves through continents, forming the outline of the Quarona factory in Italy before arriving in New York, where it becomes part of Bergdorf Goodman’s facade, blending art and architecture in a poetic display.

Inside the windows, Loro Piana brings to life a journey through time, heritage, and imagination. The women’s displays evoke the Maison’s mastery of fibers, from cashmere bales traveling in miniature Loro Piana trucks to delicate baby cashmere floating weightlessly among clouds. Fields of thistle blooms nod to the brand’s coat of arms, while scenes of New York’s skyline and artisans inspecting fabric honor precision and excellence.

Painterly sketches by Marcello Dudovich add a touch of Art Deco elegance, and an exclusive silk foulard created for Bergdorf Goodman features a thistle motif surrounded by globes that trace the world’s finest fibers converging in New York.

The men’s displays continue this storytelling with miniature vintage cars cruising across the Maison’s iconic Suitcase Stripe motif, rows of bales marked with the Loro Piana coat of arms, and a quote from Pier Luigi Loro Piana — “Luxury is inextricably linked to quality” — woven into fine fabric on a wooden loom. The final window showcases neatly stacked fabric bolts, reminiscent of the brand’s first concept store.

To commemorate this artistic collaboration, Loro Piana unveils a selection of exclusive products available only at Bergdorf Goodman. The capsule collection embodies understated sophistication and includes refined garments, bags, and accessories crafted from the finest materials.

For men, a softly structured wool overshirt in warm rust is paired with tailored trousers that balance comfort with elegance. For women, a tone-on-tone grey cashmere ensemble with a bold animal-print cloche hat highlights the Maison’s timeless yet playful style. The tightly curated color palette of reds, beiges, and neutrals ties the collection together in quiet harmony.

Enhancing this immersive experience, the women’s accessories shop at Bergdorf Goodman offers a dedicated personalization service for the Grande Unita scarf and the Unito blanket. These heirloom pieces, crafted from exquisite cashmere, allow clients to embroider their initials in a selection of colors that range from muted neutrals to vibrant shades of pink, green, and blue, with a signature red for the plaid design.

The Grande Unita scarf, introduced in the early 1980s, represents Loro Piana’s evolution from textile maker to global luxury house, with its signature “frisson” finish giving it a distinctive sheen and velvety softness. Every personalized creation is overseen by expert artisans, ensuring that each piece embodies the Maison’s devotion to craftsmanship and individuality.

As the holiday season approaches, Loro Piana also presents a curated selection of refined gift ideas at Bergdorf Goodman. The Library of Prints Carré Collection of scarves, sensorial beanies, and iconic baseball caps crafted with Cash Storm System® or Wind Storm System® fabrics encapsulate the brand’s dedication to elegance, comfort, and innovation. Each piece reflects the Maison’s signature combination of understated luxury and timeless design — perfect for gifting or collecting.

Loro Piana’s relationship with New York City is one of enduring inspiration. The Maison opened its first U.S. office in the city in September 1989, followed by its first concept store in 1994 between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue. In the 1990s, Bergdorf Goodman began carrying Loro Piana accessories, and by 2003, the brand had opened its first corner within the store.

Decades later, this 2025 installation marks a return to where Loro Piana’s American story began — celebrating over thirty years of craftsmanship, creativity, and quiet excellence in the heart of New York.
