Kathleen Post’s Latest Abercrombie Collection Is The Fall Capsule Wardrobe You Need
Kathleen Post’s third collection in collaboration with Abercrombie launched in late September, and it’s quickly becoming one of the season’s most talked-about drops. The blogger and content creator has captured the essence of fall fashion with a carefully curated lineup of layered looks, rich textures, and elevated tailoring that feels both trend-forward and timeless.
At the forefront of the collection is a chocolate brown vegan leather trench coat, a silhouette poised to become an autumn staple. The piece is designed with inclusivity in mind, available in sizes XXS petite through XXXL tall, and crafted with accentuated sharp collar detailing, double-breasted tailoring, and a functional waist tie for versatile styling. It’s a modern twist on a wardrobe classic, engineered to move seamlessly from day to night.
The collection also introduces the season’s most buzzed-about piece: the high rise micro short. Kathleen’s version translates the trend for everyday wear, offered in a brown plaid houndstooth suiting fabric with thoughtful tailoring touches like belt loops, pin-tuck seams, and back welt pockets. The style is also available in Abercrombie’s viral Curve Love fit, ensuring curve-hugging comfort without the waist gap.
By anchoring her edit in timeless color ways, tailored suiting, and season-defining outerwear, Kathleen Post has created a collection that reflects both her signature aesthetic and the enduring yet evolving classics of fall fashion. We chatted to Kathleen to discuss her love of fashion, the evolution of her partnership with Abercrombie, and what’s next on her creative horizon.
Haute Living: What first made you interested in fashion?
Kathleen Post: I honestly can’t remember a time when I wasn’t interested in fashion—it started young! From dressing my dolls as a little girl to laying out my outfits the night before school, I’ve always loved clothes and the emotion they evoke. The right outfit can make you feel confident, creative, and completely yourself. Once I got the first hit of that feeling, I was hooked.
HL: How did your collaboration with Abercrombie come to be?
KP: I started sharing Abercrombie on my page back in 2019—they had just gone through a major rebrand, and their new pieces immediately caught my attention. I was drawn to the fit of their denim and the approachable price point, and my audience loved when I’d share Abercrombie try-ons. Before long, the brand took notice and invited me to collaborate in a more formal way.
They asked me to be part of a big denim campaign where I had the opportunity to visit their design office with four other creators and design my own pair of jeans to launch on their site. Those jeans performed so well—my audience loved them! After that, Abercrombie asked if I wanted to create a full fall collection, and the rest was history.
Since then, I’ve worked on three additional fall collections, including an activewear line. It’s been such a rewarding experience, and I’ve absolutely loved bringing these collections to life and sharing them with my audience!
HL: What was the inspiration behind the collection?
KP: All things fall! I really wanted this collection to feel like the perfect fall capsule wardrobe. Everything mixes and matches together so well. It’s cozy, yet elevated. The rich brown and green tones are perfect for fall. I wanted the styles to feel classic with on-trend elements!
HL: Who is your dream collab with?
KP: I would love to work with a beauty brand and design my own lip collection! A few of my favorites are Saie, Hourglass, and Charlotte Tilbury!
HL: What are your 5 favorite pieces from the collection?
KP: The leather trench is a show stopper! I also love the scarf tops, micro shorts, bootcut jeans, and cable knit sweaters.
