Clase Azul México, the renowned luxury house celebrated for its exquisite tequila artistry, unveils the final chapter of its five-year Nuestros Recuerdos series with the release of Clase Azul Tequila Día de Muertos Edición Limitada Recuerdos. Officially launched on October 14, 2025, this limited-edition release captures the soul of remembrance and pays tribute to Mexico’s most heartfelt tradition—Día de Muertos.
Each year, on November 1 and 2, families across Mexico honor their ancestors through ofrendas—altars adorned with candles, marigolds, photographs, and the favorite foods of the departed. The annual Día de Muertos limited editions from Clase Azul México have long served as both an homage and an artistic reflection of this sacred tradition, turning craftsmanship into cultural storytelling.
The Nuestros Recuerdos series, launched in 2021, has explored the sensory beauty of the celebration through its themed releases: Sabores (Flavors), Colores (Colors), Aromas (Aromas), and Música (Music). The fifth and final edition, Recuerdos (Memories), represents the culmination of this emotional journey—an ode to love, nostalgia, and eternal connection.

Crafted under the guidance of Master Distiller Viridiana Tinoco, this añejo tequila is a symphony of time, patience, and passion. Blending spirits aged between 12 and 38 months in first-use American whiskey casks, Recuerdos achieves remarkable depth and complexity.
A portion of the agave is cooked in a traditional pit oven, adding earthy tones that evoke warmth and memory. Tinoco describes it as “a nostalgic return to my grandmother’s kitchen, to the wood-fired stove where she made tortillas.” For her, creating Recuerdos was “a way to relive those moments with the heart and transform them into a liquid tribute.”
The tequila reveals captivating aromas of cooked agave, smoked wood, orange peel, caramel, and clove. On the palate, it opens with orange marmalade and hints of spice—clove and cinnamon—finishing with lingering notes of toasted wood and citrus. Every sip reflects the brand’s dedication to emotional craftsmanship, transforming nostalgia into presence.
Visually, Recuerdos is a masterpiece in itself. The ivory-hued decanter, designed by Mexican artist Erika Rivera, depicts a traditional ofrenda surrounded by ethereal spirits painted in soft, dreamlike tones. Rivera, originally from Guadalajara and now based in Melbourne, drew inspiration from her own longing for home and her deep connection to Día de Muertos traditions. Through her artwork, she bridges memory and ritual, creating a vessel that embodies reverence and reflection.

Complementing the decanter is an ornament shaped like a locket and bathed in 24-karat gold. When opened, it reveals an obsidian cameo—a reference to the mirrors placed on altars so returning souls may recognize themselves. The front features intricate milagritos in bas-relief, representing faith, gratitude, and devotion.
Each ornament was handcrafted by Milagros de Latón, a family-run brass workshop in Tesistán, Jalisco. Their team used over fifty artisanal processes, from lost-wax casting to hand-polishing and gold-plating. This meticulous craftsmanship captures the heart of Mexico’s artistic legacy, ensuring that each piece is both a collector’s treasure and a cultural symbol.
Limited to 10,000 decanters, this 1-liter tequila (40% ABV, 80 proof) is priced at $1,900 USD plus taxes. Beyond its rarity and design, Recuerdos stands as a timeless expression of emotion—transforming memory into taste, art into devotion, and tradition into legacy.
For Clase Azul México, this edition marks not just the close of a five-year artistic journey but also the preservation of an enduring cultural dialogue. Each release in the Nuestros Recuerdos series has illuminated a different facet of Día de Muertos, from color and aroma to music and flavor, culminating in this final meditation on remembrance.
