When we stumbled across Yvonne Léon’s jewelry, we knew that we had found something truly special. We spoke with the eponymous founder Yvonne Léon to learn more about her brand, the inspiration behind it, her dream collections, and more. From her Parisian workshop to the Saint-Germain store to the brand’s online retail presence all over the world, Léon’s brand is taking the jewelry world by storm.

Haute Living: What inspired you to start your jewelry brand?

Yvonne Léon: It came quite naturally to me. My parents were jewelry makers, I grew up surrounded by beautiful and whimsical objects. I am very curious and I’ve always been fascinated by the variety of colors that precious stones can offer. I realized rather soon that making jewellery was for me—mastering colour combinations, telling stories, allowing women to feel unique and powerful.

HL: Who are your pieces for?

YV: I don’t create my collections with a specific woman in mind. Everyone can wear my jewellery, that’s what I love about it. Whether you wish to gift your daughter her first signet ring or you’re a woman in her fifties treating herself just for the sake of it, I design my jewelry to last and make the women who wear it feel special.

HL: What is your favourite piece?

YV: There is a lot to pick from! Right now, I would say that my favourite is the Pendentif Broche Lion d’Or, a yellow gold chain with a flamboyant lion’s head. I wear it every day. Either with a jacket for an elegant style or with a round neck t-shirt, it’s the perfect piece to elevate any style.

HL: What is a collection you haven’t done that you would want to?

YV: I dream of doing a collection of jewelry for kids. It has been on my mind for a while now, and I have a lot of ideas to work on, I just need the time!
