From Kingston to Brooklyn: How Juici Patties Is Bringing Caribbean Comfort Food to America at Record Speed

Haute Partners | September 18, 2025

There’s no food quite like the Jamaican patty. Ground meat and vegetables, seasoned with authentic Jamaican spices and a healthy dose of Scotch bonnet peppers, are encased in a pastry crust and baked to golden-brown perfection. The patty has long been a Jamaican favorite, and now, Juici Patties is bringing it to America.

The brand started when a young Jukie Chin began making and selling patties out of his parents’ small grocery store in Jamaica. Decades later, his son Daniel Chin is overseeing the expansion of Juici Patties to the East Coast and beyond.

Thus far, that expansion has been much faster than most. In August alone, Juici Patties opened three new locations. Two are in Florida — one in Davie, and one in Coral Springs. The other is in New York City, which opened in the Jamaica neighborhood in Queens.

That’s respectable enough in itself, but according to Juici Patties CTO Stuart Levy, it’s just the beginning. “We are looking at an additional 15 locations on the East Coast if all goes well,” he says.

Juici Patties eventually aims to open locations across the country, so you might wonder why the new locations are concentrated along the Eastern Seaboard.

“Logistic reasons, primarily,” Levy explains. “We started in Florida because it’s close to the Caribbean. Initially, it was easy for us to get back and forth from Jamaica to Florida as we rolled out this whole idea and concept.”

“Now that we have Florida as a base, we expanded to New York because there’s a huge diaspora of Jamaican communities in New York.”

It may seem like Juici Patties is opening new locations at breakneck speed. However, the company is doing more than just expanding — it’s breaking sales records while introducing a beloved Caribbean staple to people of all cultural backgrounds.

The company sold an astounding 24,000 patties in just one week at its Brooklyn location, which currently brings in $500,000 in monthly revenue.

Given New York City’s reputation as a cultural melting pot, it’s no surprise that the Brooklyn eatery is among the brand’s most successful. But Juici Patties is taking off in other markets, too, so much so that Levy is eyeing a westward expansion.

“We’re in the process of registering in California. We’re keeping eyes on Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, possibly Vegas, and then meeting in the middle,” he says. “We’re going to be doing Texas shortly. So we’ll start on the West Coast, and then we’ll meet somewhere in the middle of the U.S.”

Under the leadership of Daniel Chin, Juici Patties is just beginning its ambitious campaign in America. That’s good news for anyone starting to tire of their local fast food options.

Whether you’re already a Jamaican food aficionado or you just want to try something new, Juici Patties may bring exciting new flavors to your neighborhood soon.
