The Langham And Lucid Motors Launch A Chic Pink EV That’s Turning Heads

As The Langham Hotel Group gears up to celebrate its 160th anniversary this June, it’s kicking things off in signature style—with a fleet of sleek, all-electric pink Lucid Air house cars. The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue and The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, Los Angeles are the first to debut the new EVs, offering guests a bold, beautiful ride that blends sustainability with standout design. And yes, they’re that perfect shade of Langham pink.

This launch isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s a nod to The Langham’s legacy of firsts. Since opening its doors in 1865, The Langham has been ahead of its time: the first grand hotel in Europe to introduce air conditioning, hot and cold running water, and what they charmingly dubbed “rising rooms” (aka elevators). More than 150 years later, the innovation continues, from cloud-based guest tech and next-gen loyalty systems to AI-powered booking personalization.

And about that pink? It’s not just pretty—it’s personal. During a renovation of The Langham, London in 1987, fragments of the original blush wallpaper were uncovered. That soft, elegant hue became the brand’s signature—and now it graces everything from tea sets to floral displays… and, fittingly, these new electric house cars. It’s a full-circle design moment with a modern, eco-luxe twist.
