Country Icon George Strait Is Shipping This “Cowboys & Dreamers” Cocktail Just In Time For Stagecoach

Photo Credit: Codigo 1530Our cocktail of the week this week comes courtesy of country icon George Strait, whose tequila brand, Codigo 1530, is a presenting sponsor at the California country festival, Stagecoach.

One of the Codigo 1530 cocktails on the menu at the Empire Polo Club — George’s favorite (and ours too) — is the “Cowboys & Dreamers” margarita.

Of the libation and whether or not he’ll be making a surprise appearance at Stagecoach this year, Strait says, “While I can’t make it out to the desert this year, I’m excited for fans to experience the spirit of Stagecoach through Código’s limited offerings and the unforgettable memories they will create with friends and family. If it’s not your favorite tequila, you haven’t tried it!”

How to Make the Cocktails and Dreamers Cocktail

Tools: Plate, Knife, Jigger, Shaker, Strainer, Rocks Glass

INGREDIENTS
2 parts Código 1530 Blanco Tequila
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
¾ part Código 1530 O

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pour salt onto a plate. Moisten the rim of a rocks glass
with a lime wedge and roll back and forth in the salt.
Set aside.
2. Measure and add Código 1530 Blanco Tequila, fresh lime
juice, and Código 1530 Organic Agave Nectar to a shaker.
3. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
4. Strain into the rimmed rocks glass and top off with ice
