This week, Saint Laurent officially opened the doors to its largest store in New York City, an expansive two-level boutique in the heart of the iconic Meatpacking District located at 72 Gansevoort Street. Echoing Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello’s vision for Saint Laurent, the new flagship fuses raw industrial elements and refined luxury

The store’s design is a masterpiece, with the minimalistic design truly speaking for itself. In fact, the store captures the essence of an art gallery, where upon entry, you are in awe, taking in the artistic surroundings. As guests enter the store, they are immediately immersed in Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent universe. At the center, a grand black wood staircase draws the eye, while corduroy concrete walls and black mirrors amplify the space’s modern appeal. The interiors are further elevated by using premium luxurious materials like travertine and black cosmic marble for tables, as well as niches adorned with blue-glazed ceramics and cipolino marble.

The interplay of textures fosters a dynamic shopping experience that is both cutting-edge and timeless. Adding to the artistic elements of the store is a curated  selection of vintage furniture from renowned designers, including Gustav Stickley, Frank Lloyd Wright, and TH Robsjohn-Gibbings.

The boutique is home to Saint Laurent’s complete collection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear as well as the Maison’s signature handbags and novelties, including the new Y Tote Bag, inspired by the Saint Laurent archives in the 1970s. The store will also carry an expansive range of shoes, accessories, and fine jewelry.

This latest opening marks a significant expansion of Saint Laurent’s presence in New York City, where it already operates standalone stores at 3 East 57th Street and 80 Greene Street in SoHo. With its strategic location in the Meatpacking District—a neighborhood known for its blend of history, fashion, and art—the new boutique solidifies the house’s influence in the city’s luxury landscape.
