Acraze

ACRAZE, real name Charlie Duncker, has emerged as a dynamic innovator within the electronic music realm, his influence stretching far beyond the confines of genre or tradition. His music is a testament to his profound influence on the dance music circuit, captivating a global audience with his meticulously crafted productions and electrifying performances. Such is the allure of his creations that have seen him garner over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, positioning him as a dance music sensation.

ACRAZE’s art is marked by a relentless pursuit of musical innovation. His entry into the music scene, inspired by an eclectic mix of electronic sounds and old-school freestyle from his high school days, set the stage for a career defined by bold choices and a refusal to settle for the status quo. This ethos is reflected in his decision to dive headfirst into music, eschewing a conventional path for the unpredictable thrill of DJing, a choice ignited at a highschool graduation party with an impromptu DJ set.

At the core of ACRAZE’s meteoric rise is his groundbreaking single, “Do It To It,” catapulting him from obscurity to stardom through an innovative take on Cherish’s 2006 R&B anthem of the same name. Stumbling upon a video featuring the track led to a moment of inspiration that would redefine his career. Amassing over 12 billion streams on Spotify and earning significant accolades including the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Award for Dance Song Of The Year, ACRAZE’s house rework has since become a cornerstone of dance playlists worldwide, earning him his first Gold and Platinum accolades across numerous countries and securing his reputation as a trailblazer in the scene. His journey from spinning tracks in local nightclubs to commanding stages globally—culminating in a much-coveted residency at the Wynn Las Vegas — mirrors his unyielding dedication and passion for music.

We sat down with this rising star to discover all of his haute secrets to Las Vegas.

Where were you born: Staten Island, New York.

Occupation: Music Producer & DJ

How long have you been affiliated with Las Vegas? Probably about 3 years since I started my Vegas residency.

Tell us about your Las Vegas residency at Wynn: : The Wynn is a special place to me because I grew up learning the culture here. Gambling, Restaurant eating, the shopping stores, the nightlife. Basically you name it,  The Wynn has taught me.

Favorite Restaurant: Mizumi

Best sushi: Mizumi

Best Italian:  Sinatra

Best dessert:  Kendall’s Slutty Brownie at Delilah Las Vegas

Best Sunday brunch: I’m not much of a brunch guy, but if I did I would say Jardin.

Best place for a power business meeting: Pre-show, I usually take meetings in my suite.

If you have out of town guests, why would you recommend The Wynn?  Best hotel & best hospitality on the strip, hands down. Great food, great atmosphere, good music, fun parties and the pools are top tier. I can’t forget to mention the rooms they have. I sleep in a lot of hotel beds around the world and the Wynn bed is truly my favorite bed in Las Vegas haha.

What is something about The Wynn that travelers may not automatically know? That I have my residency there! Haha

Favorite shopping venue/boutique: Feature is probably my favorite store in the Wynn besides le labo. Feature is a great store for all kinds of high end brands and has a great selection of shoes. I also go for the fruit snacks you can take for free there haha. Le Labo is also where I get my colognes, body washes, shampoos etc. Their collections are some of the best smelling products in the game. If you have never heard of them, go to their store. Don’t forget who put you on.

Favorite spa treatment? I love the Wynn’s spa, it’s super simple. I’m in and outta there. Steam room to spa then cold plunge is my fav thing to do on my days off in Vegas.

Favorite cultural event / institution each year in Vegas and why? Most def EDC Las Vegas. Every year I have the time of my life at that festival. Seeing all my dj homies and people from all over the world  is super fun.

Best steakhouse: Delilah has some pretty good steaks I will say.

Best pizza: Good Pie in Downtown Vegas – MY FAVORITE PIZZA PLACE EVER. Please trust me on this one.

Best museum/exhibit? Awakening at The Wynn or The Sphere

Describe Sin City in three words: LET’S FUCKING GO.

All-around favorite spot in Las Vegas?  The Shops at Crystals. I love shopping.

Best aspect of having a residency in Las Vegas? Getting to meet different people every time I come to Vegas is always cool. It’s not like any other city where the same people go out all the time. Everyone comes from different states – or countries even – to celebrate and party.

What is next on the horizon for you? For Vegas, I really want to become a household name and grow my parties bigger. It’s funny because when I first became a DJ, having a residency in Vegas never crossed my mind. But now that I’m here, I want to be known as one of the craziest shows in Vegas.
