A personal favorite jewelry brand, FoundRae, has officially opened its doors in the heart of the Miami Design District. The Moore building, renowned for its 1920s Neoclassical façade, symbolizes Miami’s design heritage. Its four-story interior arcade features a striking Zaha Hadid installation, juxtaposing historic charm with cutting-edge design. FoundRae’s boutique, housed within this storied structure, reflects a deep appreciation for the building’s history while embracing the brand’s commitment to timeless craft.

Inside the boutique, visitors will find an exquisite blend of historical and artisanal elements. Highlights include an ornate, hand-painted ceiling cornice, custom wallpaper that celebrates FoundRae’s signature themes of Dream, Karma, and Wholeness, and hand-blown glass sconces illuminating the space with a warm, artisanal glow.

The boutique’s focal point is an in-house workshop, visible from the exterior and interior. Here, clients can observe master craftspeople, including a bench jeweler and hand engraver, at work. This immersive experience invites visitors into the creative heart of FoundRae’s design process.
Beth Hutchens describes the boutique as “a home centered around a grand library.” The store’s design includes a long entry hallway, a dining room complete with a baby grand piano, and leather-bound tomes used to display jewelry. These design elements reflect FoundRae’s deep connection to literature and symbolism, which has been integral to the brand’s identity since its inception.

Hand-painted emblems evoke coats-of-arms found in historic estate halls, while a mural of wild blossoms cascades across the dining room walls, lending a sense of organic whimsy to the space. This artistic ambiance inspires visitors, connecting them with the spiritual and symbolic underpinnings of FoundRae’s creations.

Every FoundRae flagship features a unique emblem at its entrance, symbolizing the “crossing of paths.” The Miami boutique’s emblem incorporates a shell motif, representing the city’s coastal spirit. This shell motif also graces exclusive jewelry designs available only at the Miami flagship, further cementing its status as a distinctive destination.

“We approach the design of our stores the same way we approach the design of our jewelry collections: inspired by historical references and time-honored artisanal techniques,” says Hutchens. “I hope the store design makes people feel connected to a past legacy but also inspires them to go forth and shape their own futures.”
Through its Miami flagship, FoundRae continues to merge art, history, and craftsmanship, offering clients jewelry and a journey of self-expression.
