Photo Credit: Ashley Paul When visitors think of Las Vegas, they think of The Strip and all of its hedonistic glory, but there’s more to Sin City than just Las Vegas Boulevard — which is why our cocktail of the week pick is awesome, but off-Strip. Velveteen Rabbit, located in Las Vegas’ Arts District, is turning back time with a collection of cocktails carefully curated to pay homage to vintage Vegas. The seasonal menu introduces flavors of the present, mixed with classics of the past, garnished with thoughtful and titillating sensory delights.

Las Vegas-based sisters Christina and Pamela Dylag are the visionaries behind this sensory experience that journeys beyond the typical. Explore the local art, the projection wall, the floral arrangements, the dreamy worlds of both the cocktail den and Pink Palace Paradiso, all of which perfectly complement the Rabbit’s thoughtful yet whimsical cocktail offerings.

As a whole, we’re shipping Viva Lost Vegas, A Sin City Archive. But, of course, we have our favorites.

First and foremost, that would be No Sympathy for the Devil (top), compried of of marigold-infused rum, creme de mure, salted walnut syrup, lemon, and walnut bitters.

We also love the King of Kings, a tribute to Elvis Presley, made of banana peel-infused brandy, cardamom honey, fernet, creme de mocha, cream, peanut butter foam, and flamed cinnamon.

And while the rest are excellent, the Omerta is a standout thanks to its combination of gin, stone pine liqueur, black plum & saffron oxymel, lemon, black pepper, and side of mascarpone.

Fennel & clove-infused bourbon + elixir d’anvers + ginger + peychaud’s + laphroaig rinse

PICK-N-PAY PUMPKIN PIE

Scotch + dark rum + pumpkin pie spice + angostura amaro + meletti + orange oleo saccharum + lemon + oj, clarified through milk, graham crackers, and pumpkin puree

THE GHOST OF PALOMINO PAST

Pomegranate-infused tequila + xila + reduced cava syrup + ghost pepper tincture + lemon + grapefruit + purple sweet potato and sugar rim

Gin + fino sherry + house pear and rose cordial + sparkling wine + gold-dusted cherries
