Every Place To Eat & Drink During New York Fashion Week
It’s that time of year again — celebrities, editors, stylists, and influencers are pulling together their chicest looks as they arrive in the city for New York Fashion Week. While fashion is the main course, where you dine before and after the shows is a close runner-up. We’ve put together our favorite places to eat, drink, see and be seen during the city’s hautest week of the year.
The Nines
Of course, no one in New York is doing it quite like The Nines. The iconic downtown piano bar remains a city favorite, especially during fashion week. Living up to its name, the luxury spot is dressed up with red velvet interiors and leopard print carpeting that channels that of old-school New York glamour. This season, they’ve debuted a Supper Club Series that features local talent and musicians putting on intimate and special performances like you’ve never seen before. We highly recommend a stop at The Nines for a dirty martini and a caviar baked potato.
Jean’s
If you’re looking for a bite, a drink, and dancing to end the night, Jean’s is a must-go. An ode to New York City, the restaurant reflects a modern downtown sensibility by reimagining the sleepy staple that is the New York bistro. The main dining room gives off a sexy, intimate vibe for dinner, while a cocktail bar sits on the bottom floor and hosts the city’s most exclusive late nights.
Fasano
In the mood for dinner and a show? Fasano Restaurant, located on Park Avenue, focuses on elevated, traditional Italian dishes while offering a sophisticated ambiance and impeccable service to create a fine dining experience like no other. The best part? The restaurant is also home to an intimate, jazz speakeasy called Baretto. The discreet lounge offers live music every Friday and Saturday.
Casa Cruz
Having recently hosted Stella McCartney’s Met Gala After Party, Bergdorf Goodman, and Schiaparelli Met Gala Kick-Off Event, and more, Casa Cruz is known as one of the fashion industry’s go-to hot spots, and this fashion week is no different. Decadent cocktails and cuisine designed by Michelin-starred chef John Fraser meet with posh interiors adorned with original artworks by Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, and Louise Giovanelli for a glamorous dining experience like no other. Don’t forget to stop by the recently opened rooftop terrace, Frances at Casa Cruz.
Bar Nena
This Mexico City-inspired hideaway is a must-visit for those seeking an intimate and exclusive experience. Accessed by an unmarked flight of stairs, Bar Nena has already attracted the fashion elite, including Moschino and Maxwell Osborne. Considered an intimate space to rub shoulders with New York and fashion elite, this season, they’ll be hosting several DJ sets throughout the week to set the scene for a late-night evening post following a day of shows.
Jac’s On Bond
This NoHo haunt captures the unique cultural spirit and sensibility of New York City, offering standout and friendly cocktails and delicious small bites. A go-to stop, Jac’s on Bond is complete with a pool table and walls featuring iconic images of hip-hop artists taken by acclaimed photographer Janette Beckman, bringing the energy and nostalgia of the 80s and 90s New York music scene to a modernized yet sophisticated bar scene.
Fouquet’s
Channeling sophisticated French excellence, no one does downtown dining quite like Fouquet’s. With a sexy and elevated interior, the restaurant invites its guests for an evening of fine dining. If you want to get dressed up, enjoy a swanky meal, and have a night out in town, Fouquet’s is Tribeca’s one-stop shop.
KYU
Located in NoHo, KYU is one of New York’s chicest restaurants, blending the traditional Japanese discipline of yakiniku techniques with the innovative, vibrant flavors of Asia to bring you an elevated menu of expertly grilled meats and captivating vegetable preparations alongside hand-crafted cocktails. Only adding to the decadent menu, the atmosphere amplifies your experience with the restaurant built around a custom-designed wood-fired kitchen and decor highlighted with warm woods and rich greenery during New York Fashion Week.
