A Behind-The-Scenes Look At The Olympics On Display At La Galerie Dior
Once every four years comes the monumental excitement of the Olympics and the gathering of world-class athletes and celebrities alike. Taking place in Paris this year, one of the fashion capitals of the world, the style has been elevated like never before. During the opening ceremony, stars like Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura, and Axelle Saint-Cirel stepped out dressed in looks curated by Dior’s Creative Director, Maria Grazia Chiuri, perpetuating the House’s passionate affinities with the world of sport. The array of specially selected looks is now on display for viewing at Dior’s La Galerie Dior exhibition in Paris.

For this historic event, Dior breathed life into the stunning silhouettes worn by the A-List artists performing, each honoring women and female strength through the freedom of self-assertion. Prolonging the dream and emotion of Dior’s exhibition, La Galerie Dior at 30 Montaigne serves as home to the incredible pieces created by Chiuri. The Paris room, which is dedicated to Christian Dior’s fascination with the capital – reveals Lady Gaga’s fabulous outfit for her interpretation of Mon truc en Plumes, by the iconic Zizi Jeanmarie. A number that paid tribute to the spirit of French cabaret, during which she appeared in a black satin bustier, topped with a short jacket and a majestic feather skirt.

The Bal Dior room hosts Axelle Saint-Cirel’s prodigious outfit, perfectly illustrating Dior’s iconic infinite draping technique in a striking trompe-l’oeil with the French flag. Aya Nakamura’s look shines forth in the showcase entrusted to the ties uniting Dior and the most emblematic stars: an exclusive ensemble revisiting one of the silhouettes from the Dior haute couture autumn-winter 20245-2025 show by Chiuri, entirely sewn with a gold feather – hand-embroidered one by one by artisans. Besides, it is the extraordinary Dior haute couture creation that sublimated the performance by Celine Dion. For this grand finale, the singer was dressed in a white silk georgette gown embellished with a hypnotic gradation of sequins magnified by an abundance of fringes covered in thousands of silver pearls, which came alive, vibrated and sparkled to the rhythm of her enchanting interpretation.
