The Unveiling of John Korbel’s ‘Falling Feels Like Flying’
Jazz has been one of the most classic and longstanding music genres in American history, and Singer/Songwriter John Korbel emerged as a new distinct voice in Jazz. Korbel seamlessly blends the timeless allure of Michael Buble with the sophisticated songwriting reminiscent of Sting, Donald Fagen, and Al Jarreau. As the anticipation for his upcoming album, Falling Feels Like Flying, builds, it unravels a captivating musical journey that transcends conventional boundaries.
The initial development of this musical masterpiece got started in April 2022 with the creation of the track “First Christmas Loving You.” Called “Lightning in a Bottle,” the recording sessions developed naturally, and by September 2023, the album was complete. The ten-track group, which includes an extended version of “Wheels Up,” crafts a story examining the issues of contemporary long-distance romance and flying.
A creative synergy between composer/lyricist John Korbel and producer/arranger Mark Falchook, who painstakingly constructs the musical tapestry with his charts for studio musicians, is at the core of this artistic endeavor. Together, they give each note life, resulting in an album that offers rich audio experiences in addition to melodies.
Orlando’s dynamic jazz culture unexpectedly comes to light. A talented jazz club culture, supported by former theme park musicians from Disney, Cirque du Soleil, and Universal Studios, can be found here. Korbel discovered his producer and studio musicians among this unique group of gifted individuals, who gave his musical story a fascinating new dimension.
The album began as a result of a coincidental meeting of minds. Korbel presented the idea of a Christmas single to Mark Falchook in April 2022. Falchook is an accomplished session keyboardist who has worked with Jazz greats like Bob James, Patti Austin, and Dave Valentin. His excitement was similar to John’s. With each studio session hailed as “lightning in a bottle,” this first spark ignited a string of bookings that confirmed the extraordinary connection between the artists.
Korbel’s dedication to a classic recording process is evident, including using a live drummer as an authentic element of the work. The final product, the CD, is proof of the extraordinary skill and constant commitment put into every recording session.
Korbel‘s musical career is a monument to perseverance and teamwork as much as a tale of notes and rhythms. He was raised in Philadelphia and entered the music industry at a young age. In 2017, he made a spectacular comeback after a layoff. His counsel, which speaks louder than songs, is for aspiring artists to understand that being an artist is a way of life rather than just a job.
To reach a wider audience, Korbel plans to perform live at festivals and concerts when the release date of Falling Feels Like Flying draws near. His jazz-pop hybrid music appeals to a broad age group, from 25 to 65 and beyond, which is evidence of its enduring popularity.
John Korbel’s narrative emerges amid a crescendo of suspense, a monument to the magic that occurs when driven individuals unite to create something remarkable. Falling Feels Like Flying is more than simply an album; it’s a musical journey that invites listeners to experience the sound’s transforming power and move beyond genre boundaries.
