With so many new luxury high-rises opening in downtown San Francisco, its no surprise that developers are pulling out all the stops to attract top buyers. Case in point: the recently completed and opened building at 488 Folsom Street, The Avery. From Related California, The Avery is a 56-story glass tower designed by Rem Koolhaas’ Office of Metropolitan Architecture. New York-based firm Clodagh Design did the interiors and the 30,000 square feet of amenities.

Unlike some newer buildings, The Avery is not being split into residences and office space, but residences and rentals. Floors two through 32 are apartments for rent and referred to as Avery 450. The 118 condominium homes start on the 33rd floor. To create anticipation and excitement around The Avery, earlier this year, Related released six fully furnished model units (designed by Clodagh and RH).

Now comes the official opening of the entire building and several exciting announcements. Beloved local interior designer Jay Jeffers has designed a spectacular 4,312-square foot penthouse, priced at $15,950,000. Jeffers used a mixture of custom, contemporary, and vintage pieces to create a glamorous yet comfortable home ideal for entertaining. The sweeping views of the water, San Francisco, and Bay Bridge are serving as a constant backdrop to the gorgeous space.

“The design of the penthouse for The Avery takes into consideration the building’s striking architecture and unrivaled services and amenities, knowing the buyer of this residence would appreciate something that’s equal parts sophisticated and sexy,” Jeffers said in a statement. “The Avery exudes style, and the penthouse is designed to be its pinnacle, refined yet statement-making.”

As the Avery’s stylist in residency, Gonsalves Kinney will provide a complimentary one-hour styling session and closet review to all condo purchasers. MGK Style’s new headquarters are at The Avery, so residents will also have access to her curated collection of ready to wear and couture pieces.
