In addition to the already stellar offerings of the project, they’ll be taking it a step further by hosting a series of summer pop-ups at the location from acclaimed global chefs starting in July. First up will be James Beard award-winning chef Tyson Cole’s Uchi, hailing from Austin, TX—bringing its exquisite contemporary Japanese cuisine to Watermill. Other featured chefs will include chef Matsuharu ‘Micha’ Tsumura of Maido (which is currently ranked No. 7 in the world by 50 Best), coming from Lima, Peru. His team will be hosting a 15-day pop-up starting August 1st, where diners can experience the chef’s signature Nikkei cuisine, which blends Japanese and Peruvian techniques together to create a vibrant and flavorful menu with dishes ranging from sea urchin rice to unique combinations of nigiri sushi, plus so much more. We recommend booking a reservation in advance here, as it’s predicted to fill up fast.
Considered a ‘Backyard Hideaway’, The Garden at Watermill encourages group dining and bringing people together to enjoy all of Long Island’s unique summer offerings. The 60-seat dining room blends charming, familial dining with the beautiful outdoors as the room opens out onto the expansive outdoor backyard, complete with a floral garden, lawn games and private alcoves for larger groups.
