Christian Louboutin Designed The Floral Terrace At Scott’s In London And It’s Glorious
Christian Louboutin, best known for his red soles and stylish beauty products, can now add “floral designer” to his list of design achievements. The French designer has lent his signature red-hot touch to the terrace at tony Mount Street, Mayfair eatery Scott’s, in London.
Landscape design is one of Louboutin’s little-known private passions, and one that he was fully able to indulge in at Scott’s, in conjunction with the Royal-favored RMS Chelsea Flower Show. The Christian Louboutin x Scott’s terrace takes inspiration directly from the designer’s own 13th century chateau in Champgillon, bringing the aesthetic he’s curated at home directly to Mayfair.
On the terrace, guests will find blue tones of the arbor adorned with a canopy of lilac Chinese and Japanese Wisteria and pops of yellow Osteospermum flowers surrounding the central window (a nod to the French Sun King, Louis XIV); each bloom and floral element being carefully imagined and hand-picked by Louboutin himself.
Pots with bold facial motifs encasing irises line the entrance paying homage to the designer’s preference for Portuguese craftmanship (akin to the aesthetic of his Lisbon Villa), where similar pots welcome guests on arrival.
To mark the collaboration, the Scott’s bar is offering an exclusive cocktail, also imagined by Louboutin. The “Champgillion” is made with Koniks Tail, raspberry syrup, Orgeat and a dash of lemon juice, all topped with Champagne and six mint leaves. Ruinart rosé will also be available to order on the terrace, priced at £20 a glass and £120 a bottle
