Where To Get The Best View Of Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks In NYC
It’s that time of year again, where we don our red, white and blue and celebrate Independence Day. This year, the annual Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show will be launching from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges along the lower East River. Now, before you start lining up at Brooklyn Bridge Park and Market Street, we have a better way to see the fireworks. Here is our haute guide to the rooftops and restaurants with front row seats to the best fireworks displays in the city.
The Fulton
Jean-Georges’ new restaurant, The Fulton, not only has the best view in the Seaport District on Pier 17, but it will also be celebrating its first-ever Independence Day, complete with an exclusive cocktail-style dinner. Guests can enjoy a meal of passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and an extensive raw bar with signature seafood dishes. After dinner, sit back, relax and enjoy unobstructed views of the spectacular fireworks show.

Pilot
This year, why not take in the fireworks on board a boat? The pilot is a seasonal oyster bar aboard one of America’s most prized wooden schooners anchored at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6. Guests will revel in an open bar with nautically-inspired cocktails and a seated dinner featuring unlimited oysters, lobster rolls and watermelon salad. If you want to make it the best year yet, gather 20 of your friends and throw your own viewing party on the bow, which includes the Captains Table, able to seat 12 guests or 20 standing guests. On top of the regular menu, guests will be treated to large format caviar service, a dedicated bar, and unlimited Veuve Cliquot. Tickets start from $375/person for a bar seat to $17,000 for the bow.

The William Vale
This Brooklyn luxury hotel will give its guests an elevated view of the fireworks from the rooftop. The William Vale in Williamsburg commands views of the East River and Brooklyn Bridge, making it another great viewing place for the Macy’s fireworks show. Located on the 22nd floor, Westlight, the cocktail bar in the hotel, will wine and dine its guests all night long. Starting at $95/person, the general admission tickets provide entry into Westlight at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tables can be reserved and include skip-the-line access, seating all night, bottles of champagne and more. If you want a staycation experience, opt-in for the red, white and blue package, which includes two general admission tickets to Westlight and a one-night stay in one of their guestrooms, which has its own terrace.
