Hero Shop, San Francisco’s fashion-forward boutique from former Vogue writer Emily Holt, has debuted a satellite store at the Marin Country Mart. Hero Shop Marin Country Mart is a pop-up that will be open to the public during May. “I love spending time at the Mart, personally, and I know we have clients in Marin and San Rafael who don’t make it into the city as often as they’d like,” Holt recently told Haute Living. “I’m excited to be able to bring the store to them.”

As a regular at the Larkspur mall, Holt was in talks with Jim Rosenfeld, the luxe outdoor shopping center’s owner, for a while. However, she didn’t have the proper staff to run two stores until now. “I’ve always been a fan of the Mart and love the mix of restaurants, stores, and services that are there,” Holt says. “The other day I thought to myself, ‘Oh god, I could probably live here.’ There’s a pilates studio (not that I do that now in the city, but I could be that person if I lived at the Mart), a juice place, a hair salon, a bookstore, a bagel shop, and a Mexican restaurant. Plus, there’s music on the weekends. I mean, sign me up.”

Now, there’s Holt and Hero Shop. The pop-up is a distillation of the Post Street store with a bright and sunny feel. “We’ll be carrying new linen dresses from Sleeper, easy totes from Baggu, special floral earrings from Of Rare Origin, Trave jeans and more,” Holt says. “Our clients are used to shopping in store, in person, with us, and for many of them, the Mart is more convenient than our Post St. location.”

Holt says every fashion-savvy San Franciscan should own a lightweight jacket from Harvey Faircloth (adorned with faux fur or striped fabrics), a Gabriela Hearst cashmere sweater (for winter and summer) and an HVN sundress for escaping to wine country—all of these pieces can be found at the Marin Country Mart and the original Hero Shop, which turns three this summer.

Another reason to visit Hero Shop Marin? Holt plans to host a series of fun events. There will be trunk show with accessories brand Bembien on May 11 and custom monogramming and embroidery on May 18 where you can customize jeans and tees. Holt couldn’t have put it better: “We like to have a good time and want people to join us.”
