Opening his second restaurant in the ultra-luxurious Miami Design District following KAIDO is chef Brad Kilgore‘s latest concept, Ember. Located in Paradise Plaza right below its sister restaurant, Ember will bring guests wood-fired American bistro with Kilgore’s signature flair of decadent and innovative ingredients. He’ll offer guests his own unique versions of wood-fired dishes, smoke-laden meats, homemade pastas and shareable sides—a cuisine that taps into Kilgore’s roots and allows him to truly showcase his signature talent.

The menu is divided by different sections, including cold starters, warm appetizers, ‘Over the Embers,’ main dishes, ‘From the Grill’, sides, sauces and sweets. Alongside chef de cuisine Nick Graves, the pair have created a tongue-tantalizing menu of splurge-worthy plates that focus on American cuisine but fuse in vibrant flavors of the world to complement each dish. Highlights include the No.LA. Beignet with pimento cheese, hot sauce and ash; charred prawn cocktail with a spicy Thai bird cocktail sauce and celery leaf salad; fire roasted lasagna; duck breast complemented by charred cabbage “kraut” and raisin jus with Indian flavors; a tender bone-in short rib with coffee and black bean salt; and of course, a variety of steaks served classically or with the special “embered” touch. Additionally, the dessert menu features sweet and savory grilled strawberries and cream cake or a tableside-branded creme brulee.

In Kilgore Culinary fashion, the space is striking in design, curated by Mark Diaz from MAD Design. The 3,200-square-foot eatery boasts both indoor and outdoor areas, with a 90-seat dining room and a 6-seat chef’s counter. Drawing inspiration from modern art-deco design, the space incorporates sleek furnishings, plenty of natural light and bold, masculine touches that evoke an elegant and intimate feel. Enjoy the warm aromas from the wood-fired oven and the decadent cuisine as you kick back, relax and enjoy an exquisite and memorable meal in the heart of the Miami Design District.
