CHANEL Department Store Opens At Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées In Paris

One of the most recognizable names in French luxury, CHANEL has opened a Parisian department store at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées. The multi-floor boutique will include multiple spaces but will focus on the brand’s Spring-Summer 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection and accessories.

Since it is the world’s fashion capital, Paris is an obvious theme for the Galeries Lafayette store, where CHANEL has reimagined an actual promenade in the space with various symbolic elements of the French capital. The location even houses a majestic Eiffel Tower replica in a pale gold hue, situated in the middle of the atrium on the ground floor, towering upward reaching the higher levels of the boutique. 20 mannequins have been placed around the base of the structure, as if admiring it from the bottom, wearing key pieces from the collection, including tweed suits, jersey biking shorts, poplin cropped shirts and dresses in tulle and chiffon.

The second floor boasts six pop-up areas, each telling a different historic CHANEL story. This floor also has two permanent spaces: one for CHANEL shoes with ballerina flats to two-tone slingback, espadrilles and everything in between, and the other with timepieces.
