Haute Living & Louis XIII Host Celebrity-Filled #IfWeCare X Pharrell Williams Luncheon At Chateau Marmont...
To further raise awareness of its #IfWeCare campaign together with Pharrell Williams and to kick off Grammy week, Louis XIII Cognac and Haute Living hosted an intimate, celebrity-filled luncheon at the iconic Chateau Marmont Penthouse Suite in the heart of West Hollywood, California. Set on the perfect Los Angeles day, the Penthouse was decked out in gorgeous Louis XIII decanters and imagery from the campaign.
Notable attendees included NBA legend Scottie Pippen; renowned real estate developer Mohamed Hadid; former NFL Super Bowl winner Jay Ajayi; Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Israel Houghton; celebrated artist Crime by Design; actor Donovan Carter from HBO’s “Ballers;” jewelry designer Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills; entrepreneur Cole Harris; philanthropist and entrepreneur Sean Lee; two of the American-born heroes from the Parisian train terror attack last year Spencer Stone and Anthony Sadler; and of course, the hosts of the day Global Executive Director of Louis XIII Ludovic du Plessis and Haute Living CEO Kamal Hotchandani.
To kick off the day, du Plessis guided the group through a Cognac tasting, together with caviar, explaining the brand’s heritage and its 100-year-in-a-bottle legacy. He then played a one-minute video of the brand’s #IfWeCare campaign, together with Pharrell Williams, who composed a song called “100 Years.” The premise of the campaign, as detailed by du Plessis, is that the world will be able to open the custom-made safe holding Williams’ record in 100 years from its conception—in the year 2117—only #IfWeCare enough about the planet to take care of it. If we don’t, the record will disintegrate and the world will never hear the masterpiece that is “100 Years” by Pharrell Williams.
Later on, the guests were seated for a beautiful lunch on the terrace of the penthouse suite, where they enjoyed some of Chateau Marmont’s specialties, including the Pear Salad, Halibut, Roasted Chicken, Brussels Sprouts and Vanilla Pavlova with Fresh Berries. Just before dessert, Hotchandani thanked the group for their attendance and presented select VIPs with personalized golden discs, serving as invitations for their future descendants to the 2117 Louis XIII party celebrating opening the safe to play Pharrell’s record.
And the day would not have been complete without du Plessis bringing out the Louis XIII Jerobaum and pippet to keep the Cognac flowing in the stunning Baccarat glasses, whose continuous chimes and clinks echoed as guests enjoyed the most perfect, sunny, Los Angeles day.
